About the Role:

As the Procurement and Storeroom Manager, you will be responsible for leading and transforming the procurement and storeroom functions for Suzano Packaging. You will oversee purchasing strategies across multiple categories, Services, MRO, Raw Materials, General Shutdowns, Capex, Obsolete Assets, and Waste Sales, and manage efficient inventory control within the storeroom. This role requires a strategic mindset to move procurement from a transactional to a proactive, value-added operation, while also leading and developing the team. You will have autonomy over hiring and budget management within defined company guidelines, and will drive digital transformation initiatives, cost reduction strategies, and process improvements.

What You’re Going to Do:

• Develop, implement, and oversee procurement strategies, policies, and procedures for Services, Raw Materials, MRO, Capex, Obsolete Assets, Waste Sales, and General Shutdowns.

• Manage the storeroom operations including receiving materials, inventory control, and classification of item criticality.

• Lead the planning, control, and approval of purchases ensuring timely and cost-effective supply to all units.

• Ensure compliance with budget targets (financial and headcount) and Suzano’s termination guidelines.

• Drive transformation in supplier management by enforcing rigorous contracting processes including:

  • At least three comparative quotes per contract.

  • Technical approval from the operational area.

  • Avoidance of conflicts of interest.

• Lead, develop, and train procurement and storeroom teams to foster results-driven, innovative, and productive culture.

• Define and track KPIs to monitor team performance, supplier service levels, and overall procurement effectiveness.

• Manage annual expense and investment budget preparations and monitor adherence.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery and compliance with SLAs.

• Encourage team participation in improvement initiatives, meetings, and working groups.

• Lead digital transformation projects to improve procurement and inventory processes.

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and explore new sourcing options locally and internationally.

What We Expect from You:

• Proven experience managing procurement and storeroom teams.

• Strong background with SAP MM and WM modules.

• Project management fundamentals and excellent negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO and OHSAS.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification is a plus.

• Experience developing and tracking KPIs.

• Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills.

• Ability to manage and develop teams with a focus on innovation and productivity.

• Fluent in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
