About the Role:

Suzano is growing in North America and is looking for a hands-on and technically strong Area Manager – Power to oversee all utilities and power systems within our Pine Bluff mill. This role is responsible for managing steam generation, energy usage, and utility systems, ensuring reliable and cost-effective operations that support all areas of the mill.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding of power systems with strong leadership skills to drive efficiency, safety, and performance. This role is highly collaborative, serving all departments as internal customers, and requires the ability to coordinate maintenance, optimize utilities, and support cost-saving initiatives.

What You’re Going to Do:

• Lead the daily operation of steam and power generation systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized performance.
• Manage utilities across the site (steam, compressed air, water systems, etc.).
• Identify and prioritize maintenance needs, coordinating with maintenance teams.
• Optimize energy consumption and drive cost-reduction opportunities across the plant.
• Support team members in obtaining and maintaining steam licenses.
• Conduct morning operations meetings and update leadership on key performance and maintenance indicators.
• Own and prepare the Night Letter to communicate evening operational expectations across shifts.
• Monitor SAP for maintenance records and assist with planning and execution.
• Support Manufacturing Excellence programs and sustainability goals.

What We Expect from You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in power generation, utilities, or steam systems in an industrial environment.
• Previous leadership experience, including directing technicians and managing operations.
• Familiarity with SAP for maintenance and operations tracking.
• Steam license or ability to obtain one in Arkansas.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a safety-first mindset, and a collaborative approach.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in pulp & paper or similar heavy manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of energy-saving projects and utility optimization.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Power BI (training available).
