About the Role:

Suzano is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – CAPEX to lead and support capital investment planning and execution across our U.S. operations. The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to help optimize capital allocation and drive financial efficiency. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and procurement, to evaluate project feasibility, track capital performance, and support strategic decision-making for long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

What You’re Going to Do:

  • Lead and support CAPEX projects across U.S. operations, from budget planning and financial analysis to execution tracking and post-implementation reviews.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to understand investment needs and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed capital budgets and forecasts, tracking actuals vs. planned and identifying variances.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, governance policies, and capital approval processes.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams to ensure cost-effective execution of capital projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in capital planning and reporting.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, summarizing project performance, risks, and financial impacts.

Qualifications

What We Expect from You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on CAPEX or capital project support.
  • Solid understanding of capital investment processes, budgeting, and cost control in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across functions and influence decision-making.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
